BOYS TOWN SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

ClassES: COMIC BOOKS & GRAPHIC NOVELS, MIXED MEDIA ART CLASS

During the summer, youth in Boys Town’s program participate in an array of recreational activities, educational field trips, and workforce development programs. These structure environments focus on building social, independent-living, and academic skills while allowing kids to enjoy a memorable and enriching summer. McGuigan Arts Academy is proud to provide programming for Boys Town’s Creative Expression classes.

BOYS TOWN RESEARCH CAMP

Class: ART CLASS & DANCE BATTLE

At Boys Town Research Camp, students explore creativity through both visual art and movement. In Art Class, campers dive into a hands-on project that encourages imagination and self-expression while experimenting with different materials and techniques. In Dance Battle, students learn a few fun dance moves and work together in teams to create their own routines before facing off in a lively, friendly dance showdown!

Class: COMIC BOOKS & GRAPHIC NOVELS

Over the course of eight weeks, students will explore the exciting, action-packed world of graphic novels and comic books! Students will create their own original characters and bring them to life through illustrated storytelling, learning how to combine art and narrative to build dynamic scenes filled with action and drama.

Class: ART AROUND THE WORLD

Pack your creative passport and get ready for a global art adventure! In this hands-on class, artists will travel across continents, explore the colors, traditions and techniques of cultures from around the world. Each class focusses on a new destination, where students will learn about unique artistic styles and create their own inspired works.
