Acting Up!
Bennington Community Theatre
In Acting Up students will explore a variety of short scenes designed to help them build acting skills, develop characters, and gain confidence on stage. After rehearsing their scenes, students will work together to combine them into a seamless ensemble performance, creating a unique show where every actor has the chance to shine!

DRAMA CLUB
WESTSIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Westside Middle School Drama Club is a student-led club open to all Westside Middle School students interested in theatre and performing. Students will work together throughout the semester to build their theatre skills, explore ideas, and create a showcase to support and celebrate the school’s fall and spring musicals. McGuigan Arts Academy will help students get the club started and provide ongoing support through teaching, guidance, and brainstorming while allowing the students to lead the way in shaping their club and performances.

Class: COMIC BOOKS & GRAPHIC NOVELS
Over the course of eight weeks, students will explore the exciting, action-packed world of graphic novels and comic books! Students will create their own original characters and bring them to life through illustrated storytelling, learning how to combine art and narrative to build dynamic scenes filled with action and drama.

Class: ART AROUND THE WORLD
Pack your creative passport and get ready for a global art adventure! In this hands-on class, artists will travel across continents, explore the colors, traditions and techniques of cultures from around the world. Each class focusses on a new destination, where students will learn about unique artistic styles and create their own inspired works.
