Over the course of eight weeks, students will experience the entire journey of bringing a play to life - from auditioning and casting to rehearsing, shaping characters and preparing for performance. Along the way they’ll practice teamwork, build confidence and discover the excitement of creating theatre together.

In this class, students will explore how rock started, how it evolved and why it still rocks today. From Elvis shaking up the 50s to the Beatles changing the game, to protest songs, big stadium anthems and everything in between, each week focuses on a new era of rock history.

BOYS TOWN RESEARCH CAMP

At Boys Town Research Camp, students explore creativity through both visual art and movement. In Art Class, campers dive into a hands-on project that encourages imagination and self-expression while experimenting with different materials and techniques. In Dance Battle, students learn a few fun dance moves and work together in teams to create their own routines before facing off in a lively, friendly dance showdown!

March 30 - April 3 2026
Spring break camp - bennington community theatre, Bennington, NE
In Theatre Makers, students dive deep into the art of auditioning - from choosing the perfect monologue and song to delivering confident, memorable performances. Guided by professional directors and performers, participants will explore acting technique, character work, and vocal interpretation while learning how to stand out in any audition room.
Throughout the week, students will build a professional audition portfolio including a polished monologue, 16-32 song cut, headshot and resume. The week culminates in an Audition Showcase, where each student presents their prepare pieces in front of friends and family.
